This year as a tribute to their deceased grandfather I gave my three boys ages 2, 5, and 14 their first rifle, Henry levers of course. Of course my 2 and 5 year old s are not shooting them yet as I did not get youth models. I wanted them to have a rifle for life not one they would out grow. I have a Rascal for them to use until they are big enough to fit the Henry. My 14 year old loves it and is quite good with it. I have found myself "breaking in" the other 2 rifles, well at least thats what I tell myself. Pretty sure I am just shooting them because...well there fun to shoot and have such a smooth action. I know my sons and their sons will enjoy them for life! Its fun being dad.

The henry youth 22 is a perfect fit for my son. Start them young and enjoy the ride.
