Just returned from a week of camping and trout fishing in the Monongahela Nat’l Forest. Yes, they’re stocked fish; it’s not the wild trout fishing I love to do in Wyoming. But, when you live in Ohio, West Virginia is a lot closer. And, it sure beats staying home and doing yard work!

I used to fish the Monongahela just south of Morgantown. Used to catch walleye, white bass, etc on that river. We used to eat what we caught since we were poor college students.
That is a good looking creel there. Ought to eat good!

I grew up in WV, that stream is just what I need in MN
Hey Mark - I’ve bird hunted in MN but never tried to trout fish there. Since trout are cold-water species, I’d think some of the streams in a state like “Minnesnowta” ought to have trout!
