As I posted in the 336 forum, I've been to the range twice and this old gun sure shoots sweet. I just need more practice with the open sights.
My question is - when I have the hammer back, I can see a K stamped in the receiver. Didn't see this when I first posted questions on this forum about this Model 1936. Does anyone know what the K means or if there is any significance to it at all?
Don't woory...I will not drill for a scope. Maybe install Fire Sights that can be returned to original if I want.

I've seen the same letter, and a couple others also. No idea what the various letters might mean myself.
