Here`s some pics of some of the crude knives i`ve made, i`m no expert at knife making just like to try my hand at everything. ;D

Thanks, that knife was made by a friend of mine in TX, i cut the blade from an old saw blade with my plazzy and sent it to him. He finished it and put bone slabs on it. We were down there last year and he gave it to me as a gift.

Pitchy thanks for the pictures, your bowie's and your ulue's are especially good. I see you throw knives too, that reminds me I have a pair of hand made throwing knives I should dig out one of these days so I can put up a picture of two of them. They were made by a dear old friend of mine for me as a gift after we threw knives together one day.

Hey gunrunner is it made from file steel ? If so I got one to !! Real sharp but I had to put the wood back on the handle !!

It is Buffgun,If mine ever does,Ill replace it with leather Be hard to break that ;D Also have a small one thats one piece all stainless.

I thought of that but I liked the wood so I put it on with brass pins instead of aluminum !

What kinda forge do you use? Anvil? I make a few stock reduction knives (grind away what aint a knife) but never got around to teaching myself forging. Looks like it would be fun, and possibly frustrating to learn.

All those knives except the bowie and RR knives are cut out of saw blades or files and ground to shape.
My forge is a old coal forge and 100 or so lb anvil.

Thanks, my best knife is what i call the Pitchy knife, the one with the burl oak handle, more than a few gents are using those from the ML board. If i was to suggest something to myself the bevel on the blades should be ground back a lot furthur but i get a little lazy sometimes. ;D

Maybe later on when i get more time i`ll make ya one, i got enough burl left for one or two more.

We will work out some kinda trade..Got walnut and mohagany,1/4 thick ,6.5x 13. Make nice handle blanks. might be one or two antlers, laying around here somewhere You cant walk for em ;D Not burlwood but decent. Gunrunner
