Models of 336

Is there a location here or a site elsewhere where I can find the descriptions of the differences or pictures of the many different 336 alphabets, G,C,Y,X,Y,Z's etc. This is really confusing to me. THANKS

Re: Models of 336

There is also a book called "The 336 Marlin" a collectors reference on the 336 Marlin by Doug Murry.

Much more in depth than Brophy's concerning variations of the 336 and with better pictures and descriptions.

I guess by your standard of measurement the answer would be no ! I asked the question trying to learn something, not to be judged by someone who has no better input to my question than to make themselves feel superior.

Ballplayer, don't go letting 'ol Hal get your pants in a bunch now! I don't know if it was the best info, but I do know it was pretty darn good to be directed to the reference part in this forum. Loads of good info for them that look, heck loads for those who just ask. Hope you found the answer you were after. Mr fixit

Got mine for xmas in 2009. You can buy it much cheaper than $90 here.
I'm not sure which book he was referring to that cost $90. I got my Brophy's from Amazon a few years ago for about $45-$50 with free shipping. I never heard of Doug Murray's book.

Ballplayer ... all is well here. Brophy's book is excellent in my opinion and was well worth the money I invested in it.

Great point bjm, I never mentioned what book I got for xmas. It was Brophy's and I use it all the time for reference.

To know you is to love you... Or at least, that is what I have heard plenty of times. ;)

I know I have jumped in with a question or two without taking the time to use the search feature on this site. I know, I know... Shame on me. Sometimes on a whim, the search parameters take me to OLD posts that are informative, entertaining, or if nothing else, leave me scratching my head and wanting to ask more questions.
