The 980DL's were made from 1962 to 1970 first 22mag bolt gun that Marlin produced . That's all the information that I can find on this model . Do any of the other Marlin models use the same trigger group parts and bolt parts ? I can find no parts listings for it at Numrich, Brownells ,or Midway . Need someone knowledgeable on this particular model . I have one in nice shape and another that needs parts that I got cheap .

Marlin often made minor changes to model lines and then gave the "new" model a different letter designation. My model 80C differs from the 80DL in that the 80DL had swivel studs and a rear peep sight that the 80 didn't. Looking at Numrich, the model 980 shares the same schematic with the 782.
