Welcome to the forum. It is not that rare a problem with Marlin and other gun brands. You can tap the sight out toward the right using a dowell and than use a punch to peen up a rough surface on the underside of the sight. Next tap it back on from right to left.
Model 60 front sight
I have a model 60 in stainless, the orange plastic front sight is loose and can be moved from side to side with no trouble, my niece has the same gun and her sight is the same way, has anyone else ran into this, I called marlin and they said there were supposed to be tight and they were sending me a new sight
