Is there any info on approximately how many 39Ds were made during their run of '71 thru '73? Were they ever made in a "deluxe" version, or with any of the other types of special options that were available during that period of time? Thanks for helping keep the Martinitus intact.

The 39D was introduced in 1971. It was not in the 1972 catalog. It was back in 1973 without the white spacer and grip cap. There were 15657 of the first variation and 7891 of the second for a total of 23548 39D’s produced. They came with a 20 inch barrel, a pistol grip stock and a dovetail front sight. There were no deluxe model or options available.
