I`ve had this Marlin for a long time and until recently it sat in the safe, it`s a 35 Rem made in 1979.
I ordered a Williams peep sight for it that should be here in the next few days that will help me shoot better as my eyes are getting a little bad.
I just bought a new guide gun that is going back to get worked on so i`ll carry this one in the mean time, ya can sure tell the difference in quality on the old ones compared to some of the new ones.
But that`s ok i`m hoping Remington fixes the guide gun proper then that will be my main carry gun though this 336 is light and handy. :)

Randy, they were a special run of 1,000 rifles for Davidsons back in 2000. They look just like the 444P, 1895G and 1895M except a bit smaller bore size! They're all 37" OAL with 18 1/2" barrels.

Thanks Gents and that`s a nice gun 1895 Gunner 8)
It appears they didn`t index the barrel properly on my guide gun, shot good groups but when i put a peep sight on it i had to adjust it way right to hit poa. I could look down the top of the reciever and see both sights were off.
The action was pretty rough also but i had it smoothed out real nice , i hate to send it back but i`m stuck with something i can`t fix. ::)
Oh well it ain`t like i don`t have any other guns to hold down the fort in the mean time. ;D

Got the Whilliams peep sight today and took a few shots at 30 yards, not bad at all.
