I had a 1990 883 Sportster, my first HD. I hadn't ridden since the late 70s so I was literally and figuratively in hog heaven. I'm 99.99% sure it was a 5 speed. :hmmmm2: Anyway, I rode the heck out of it. Then I fell in with a bad crowd, guys on baggers riding long distance, so I added a 2.5 gallon tank, a tombstone windshield and some leather bags. After a while, I succumbed and bought an 85th Anniversary Electra Glide Classic. My butt said thank you. It was followed by several Ultra Classics. This rather poor quality picture (scanned from a photograph, shows my dad in 1991 sitting on my Sporty just before we took off to the local HD shop. It was his first time to ever ride on any motorcycle. Fittingly, he was born in 1903, the same year as Harley Davidson. He passed in 1999 at 96. Damn, I miss that old man.

All of this Harley talk brings back memories, some good, some not so good. Anyways, congrats on the new ride.

I too owned lots of Enduros.I used to blow off the big bikes on red dog and gravel roads.Bought most of em new. They were the great 2 stroke ring-a-ding singers. The one 4 stroke was a 1978 or 79 KL250.It was pure garbage. The best was a Yammer DT250.The prices for new ones today is nuts.Congrats on the great bike.
