I would like to buy a 1894C Marlin but have read that the owners manual doesn't recommend shooting any ammo with a OAL of over 1.595". I'm casting the Keith type Lyman #358429 and have to seat the bullet out to around 1.660" to catch the crimp groove. I was wondering if anyone with one of these rifles has loaded their own ammo to a max OAL and what they found or if their rifle would cycle the ammo? I have a 1894S in 44mag and have loaded the Lyman #429421 Keith type bullet to a OAL of 1.685"-90" and the rifle will still cycle my loads, so the owners manual may not tell what will work. BM
