I had a sudden attack of Marlinitis. I went in after work to buy a fishing license and left with a 336 C Compact 30-30. It is a sweet little rig and it should make a good hiking/camping/fishing companion in black bear country.

Welcome to the land of the Marlin-holic.....there is a 12 step program for Recovery..... I have never progressed pass step 3, before a major relaspe.....we all fall off the wagon sometime.

How many 30-30 shells will that compact hold?
Enjoy your new friend.

It hold 6 rounds, 5 in the tube +1 in the business pipe. It's a nice handy little rig. It's 2 inches shorter than my 1894 .357. I had it out to the range tonight and it shot dead on for me right out of the box.
