Any info what model and how old "MARLIN SAFETY" in 25-35 could be? Too wide range of possibilities maybe? TIA.

I believe the Marlin Model 1893 was the only Marlin repeater available in 25-36 which will also chamber the 25-35. I do not know if the 1893 was actually offered and stamped as a 25-35.

Hope this helps.

Marlin made rifles in 25-20 or 25-36 but nothing in 25-35. SW

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that Marlin made only -36 and not -35. There was one piece for sale marked like this, maybe seller erred or maybe it's some later smithy stamped version, because there's been 25-35 around and it even has European cousin 6.5x52R, but I have never heard about -36... I also realized that Marlin safety in this case means true side ejection, not any modern safety thingys... NebrHogger, Your sigline is from Eli Wallach...? It's great!

Finn,

Yep! :D There were some great one-liners in that movie! Words to live by, as well. SW
