Marlin model 25 stock question

Hello all, I picked up a used Marlin 25M today for $150. I like it, but while looking around I happened across this laminated stock on Midway's site:

Notice where it says it is for a 25N, the 22 lr version. I read somewhere that the 25n and 25m stocks were the same, they just had different magazine plates. Is this true? Would this laminated 25n stock fit my 25m if I swapped the 22wmr mag plate from my o.e stock??

According to Numrich they are the same. They have this synthetic plus others. I don't own ether, so I can't say for sure.

Hi - I was wondering if you ever ordered that stock and if so, how did it work out ? (Any pics ?)

I've got a 20 year old 25M myself and was thinking about doing the same thing.

.
I believe the shorter bases such as those for 1960's 39A's used smaller dia. screws whereas those used for later longer bases for the later dates as yours, used bigger dia. screws
