I live in the brush country of the NE US. Any shot over 200 yards may not be very smart. If its one thing I learned from the Game Commission training is know your back drop. Where will your shot hit if you miss or it goes right through what you're aiming at. At my age and where I live, I'm comfortable at about 275 yards. I use a 308 Winchester with Nosler Varmageddon 110 grain ammo. Any further away, I don't shoot. :rofl:
