Have'nt bought a .22 for 45 years, but am looking at a real abused 39m at the pawn shop.
Sorry but no pictures. The bore is great, don't think the metal has ever been cleaned and oiled, has
lots of surface rust and the stocks have been "painted with a stained varnish" by a blind man by the looks.
The action is tight and cycles good also.
What would a ball park price be for this beater??:questionmark:

Hey TC,

Try to get it for a hundred bucks. (after all, it is in poor condition)

Later, Mark

Yep, like they said don't pay much. They would want $400. in most of the shops local here and $600. for a clean one. I have been watching them on Gunbroker just to see what the market is and two Century year models "1970" with octagon barrels went for $440.00 and $501.00 and they were very nice rifles. Of course you add another $50.00 to the price by the time you get them but still I would not pay much for an abused one.

Might make a nice project if you can get it under 200.
