Hello. What would cause a Marlin Glenfield 60 to kick the ammo out when you rack the slide? I am going to clean it real good and see if that helps, but wanted to make sure it isn't an obvious issue. Its a 1973 model. Dont know much about them. If you have any input that would help. Thanks so much.

Welcome from Alabama...

Could be a worn, cracked or broken feed throat...

Look up on youtube many of the videos posted by Arrowdodger... The man has forgotten more about the Model 60s than most of us know...

One of my Model 60s had the 2 piece and did the same thing... You'll have to get a feed throat, lifter and lifter/ejector spring... And likely modify the new feed throat to fit... Arrowdodger has a video on that too...

Order a spare buffer and change that too... Even if yours isn't cracked, you can keep it for a spare... A disintergrating buffer can ruin your day...

Midway actually has everything that I need...and it specifies for most 60 models including the ss. So should be ok. Thanks very much for your help!!
