i got to work with my marlin ballard today. i wasn't expecting much by way of accuracy, it surprised me.
i shot first with the scope. all shots were off sand bags & prone as i was testing ammo. it likes remington target as well as anything.
then i took off the scope & stuck on the lyman target sight. after i got it sighted in all shots on the other 5 targets were unsupported prone. the blade sight isn't the best, but i'll leave it on.
the last target was a lyman flip up rear sight that i stuck in the notch simply cuz it was there and i might want it for chasing bunnies.
a nice old rifle ... too cool for school! ;D
thx for all the help & info guys.
much appreciated.
