Good Morning Everyone: So I purchased this rifle in 22mag. For my grandson and since he’s in school and I’m retired I’ve started using it with greater frequency. I’ve purchased Hornady, CCI, Federal among other brands to determine what feeds or cycles best, and I can definitely see the difference in the hardness of the bullet as it relates to its chambering. Additionally, I purchase a couple of extra magazines (all OEM) and have noticed the difference as well. Question, does anyone have expertise with these rifles that could make an ammunition recommendation?

I shoot strictly CCI ammo in my .22 mags. But all guns are not the same.

The one I had, also preferred CCI, in this case the 40 gr HP.

Initially, this rifle was not particularly accurate, however it proved keeping the entire breach area very clean (bolt face and very end of the chamber where the cartridge rim fits) , it could be squirrel rifle accurate.
