Saw a Marlin model 80 at flea market today , pretty nice shape $165.00 was asking price.
Should I have bought it??

Product Wheel

The older Marlin Model 80 often had "exhibition grade" walnut stocks. They sold for around $35 at the time. Most people here might quote you $100-$150 for the gun. But if the gun you're looking at has any restoration potential, I'd say go for it.

Likely you should have offered $125 for it and seen what happened.
