Compete in some local rimfire comps. and decided to bling up my 795 to use. This budget rifle is actually a great shooter. Extremely accurate (better than the 10/22). Broke it down and polished the feed rams the action and bolt, to butter smooth. Attached a DIP solid aluminum Pic. rail. Put a green/red dot 3 moa sight.
I have prepped the stock and 25 round mags for Hydro dipping (using the borax and Humbrol paint swirl method Red/Black/White gloss enamel. That I will put a couple of coats of clear coat on.
No problems with feeding from the 25 round promags.
It's going to look great. It already shoots great and is light as a feather.
I thought about just buying a comp 22 rimfire but not sure what the benefit would be and this is fun. Plus, another gun would require another safe (mines full).
I do long range with my 6.5 creedmoor, love my AK/AR's/Kimber/CZ's including the shadow 2/rugers...etc...etc....
Glad to be a part of the show
