I just filled a small gap in my 336 collection.I'v been looking for this critter (casualy)for over ten years,couldn't find one in decent shape for under $300.00.This one is 90-95% with a very nice burled walnut stock.$201.01 at auction.Am I a happy camper or what :D :wink:

Good find mudpuppy. Thats a nice rifle. The only way I find them is with a pistol grip stock. You would think that being in the north east not far from Marlin they would be E-Z to find , not so. Good Luck with your new rifle. >Tombstone

Mud puppy - :D now that you got one hang onto it since they are the best .

I found mine 336/35 Rc at the. local gun shop. Ballard rifling and the straight grip.
I I saw another it too would follow me home .
There is something in the feel of these ol' rifles and butter smooth action .
My rifle shots like a dream

Now I am looking for a Marlin 336 straight grip in 32Win.Spl(if such an animal exist ?)I am redecorating and have this one little bare spot on the wall with just enough room for one more Marlin.

Mudpuppy, anytime you want to sell that straight grip Ballard I wish you would let me know. That, my good friend is a find!
