I have just purchased very nice Marlin 336 with S.# 0005XXXX Gun is like new. Paid $350.00 and think I got a good buy. Can someone tell me when it was made. Has no A,D pre. on serial also has the JM stamp on barrel. Thanks fro any help.

Yep, any time you can pounce on a 336 in 35 Rem for $350 you're doing well. THAT is a good deal. I see those guns on various web sites for over $500, depending on the condition. Of course, just because someone is asking that much doesn't mean they're going to get it!
