Last week I went in a gun&pawn and found a 1894c 357 mag. it was the older model with out the block safety, the beaded front sight and small hammer spur serial #18029xxx in great condition, for $450 out the door, I asked the on the 1894 board they said it was a good buy, so I got it. Today I went in another gun&pawn, they had a 336 LTS looked liked to be 16" barrel with hammer block safety, in 30-30 but it looked just like the 1894c only it was a 336 beaded front sight plain walnut no checking, in good condition. Well this guy wanted $450 + tax. What do you think?

I believe the LTS was only made for 2 years '88 & '89 and has a 16.25" barrel. They were only chambered in .30-30

Depending on condition and what you consider good, it's probably worth the asking price but I'd start the dickering lower and go from there.

Good luck!

Steve

last one I saw, friend got at a show in my hometown, he paid $500 after a negotiation, and he thinks he did great......
from what I've seen sell around here on run of the mills, I'd have to consider it.
Offer him the $450 OTD?

How much would the LTS be worth today? I'm looking at one in a small town pawn shop, but I think it's pretty high priced I believe around $700.00
I know this is an old post, found it via search...thanks in advance for any help with this.

I've got an LTS. It's a real sweet shooter. Basicly it's a Marauder with a safety. You couldn't touch mine for $450.00.
An LTS is not a Marauder. The only thing similar is the barrel length. The Marauder's front barrel band is unique.

This post is 5 years old. But in responce to 19leben, I would say $700 for a LTS in 2015 is probably pretty good. The LTS was a short run gun and was made only a couple years. LTS stands for Little Texan Safety. In the last 2 years on this board, there has been 1 LTS for sale. Cant for the life of me remember what it went for. If its in good shape and the blueing is nice, I would highly consider the LTS. They just dont come up for sale often. You may never see another one in your life time. Just sayin.

Hayden.
