Renewing a JM 336 I recently picked up, rifle had a poorly fitted shotgun pad on it. Have long arms, need additional length of pull, so went with the grind to fit 1" Pachmayr Deaccelerator pad, which was a mistake. By the time I had it ground to close tolerances with the stock, the rubber was giving way to the metal liner underneath.


So...recommendations for a 3/4" to 1" rubber stock pad that will fit with no or minimal tweaking?

I strongly reccomend theSims Limbsaver AirTech recoil pad.
The one you need is product #232391on Cabela's website.
No grind to fit...if your factory pad is already off,
half the job is done.

Another one I really like is the precision fit by Limbsaver
and it's product #10102 (mfr's #).

You started with a too large pad. IIRC, they come S,M, & L.

I love the Limbsavers- have them on all of my shotguns- but the 10102 absolutely will NOT fit my new 336... something that I'm not very happy about.
