Hi! I have an Marlin 1894CS .357 Magnum. I think the factory sights is bad. Im thinking to put on XS Lever Scout Scope Mount Weaver-Style Marlin 1894 Matte, and use Aimpoint reddot sight, and maybe "XS Ghost-Ring Hunting Sight Set White .100" Post Front .230" Ghost Ring Rear Marlin 336, 30AS and 1894 with Integral Ramp Fits Newer .70 Hole Space Front Base Matte"

Will these fit my gun?

xs scout mount

Last year I waited for Bob to return from vacation to ask the question concerning XS scount mount, factory said Bob was the man. He said "how is the front sight attached? If it is held by screws it will fit." this quick answer left me going to gun shops and measuring from the receiver mount holes to the dove tail. Bob was right, it fits. With a Burris Scout 2.75x mounted it is one of my favorite rifles.

I use the XS Ghost Ring setup on mine and I love it. I use mine exclusively for plinking and informal targets so I have no intention of mounting a scope on it. That ghost ring setup really is amazing in my opinion.

I've got a 2X scope on an XS Scout Scope mount on my 1894SS, and I swear by it. The forward-mounted scope is fast to acquire (with both eyes open, to boot) and 2X makes for a great woods setup. A red dot might also be just the ticket for snap-shooting, but I've never owned one.
But the other advantage to the Scout setup is that it allows you to keep the wonderful balance and carryability the '94's are famous for. I have two Scouts, and two more in the planning stages!
