Hello,I have a Marlin 1894 44mag (new one).
I like it,heck it even shoots swc's
but unless I hold the rifle so that the receiver
is canted a bit the cartridge falls off the "lifter"
and of course jams.
Is there any way to cure this?
Thanks-Ron
Yes, I think there is Ron, it involves tweeking the extractor hook so that the the shell rim slides between it and the bolt face as it is raised by the lifter, which I believe is how it meant to be.
Some of the newer ones take just a little tweeking here and there sometime. But they are definitely worth it in the long run. They are great rifles. Enjoy.
