Hello gentlemen and lady,
I have recently aquired a Marlin 120 shotgun and was wondering where or how to place a sling onto the front of it. Is there some kind of piece that attaches to it that I can buy? If not where is the best place to attach it to the shotgun?
Any thing that could help is wanted.
,thanks

Well you basically have 2 options. First you can buy the Uncle Mikes kit that requires you drill and tap a hole in the magazine cap to take the swivel stud. Not rocket science, but make sure you get it centered, otherwise it's, well to be polite, not too good looking.
Option 2 is buy an Uncle Mikes barrel band kit. Mike the OD of your barrel where you want to sling band to go so you get the right size, then install the 2 piece band on the barrel. This is a reversible thing, when you remove it no marks should be left, unlike the first option. You local gun shop may be able to help you find the right one and order it for you too. It comes with the allen wrench you need as well.
When placing the rear swivel stud, please, do not drill it into the bullseye! Measure up about 2 1/2 to 3 " from the toe, center punch, drill and install. Marlin guys really, really dislike drilled bullseyes.
