Hi Guys,
I have an early 336 SC with the serrated top. My question is regarding the mainspring tension. Lever operation was very stiff so I removed the stock and found that there are two notches for the hammer spring plate to locate. It was in the notch which increased spring tension so I moved it to the rear notch to release a little tension. The lever is now quite a bit smoother. Was I correct in assuming what the two notches are for and can I expect any problems with less tension? THANKS!!

Only issue is if it does fire the cartridge when you pull the trigger. It should work without any problems. If you start getting misfires then move it back.
