You may need to slick the claw extractorup just a little.
about 15 years ago, I bought several on the cheap, did a light refinish on the stocks and they're nice looking.
Good cast bullet shooters too.

I e only seen one spanish mausers, which belonged to a friend's brother. It was just about the best looking mauser ive ever seen.

I bought one of these 20 years ago. The barrel was a two groove military step type and shot poorly. So I chose to replace it and work the action into a sporter.



and made this out of it. It has been my go to rifle for rough or inclement hunts since. These actions are right there with the DWM and Argentine actions that are so coveted. Just no latched magazine cover. No deal killer for me.



I coated it in Brownells Gunkote when all of the work was done.With the Wilson barrel it shoots many types of loads under an inch at 100. Loads it really likes are sub 1/2 inch. It is my best "utility rifle".
