Anyone know if the Lyman 66 rear sight will fit with the factory holes on a marlin 36, if the the sight is for a Marlin 336?
I know that the Lyman 56 is the period correct sight , but I can't seem to find one...
Thanks,
Andy

Yes, if you buy the correct sight for the model & year. I have one on my 1894C and love it - when I find an 1894S in 44-40 I'm going to try one of the Skinners.

Yes they have one for 336'sand 1894's.Model 66 LA.I have two.The older steel ones are great sights. The newer aluminum ones are flimsy.I have stopped using them for silhouettes because I have taken the rifle out of the case to find the sight bent.I have all Williams FP TK's.I have one base mounted on my 35 Remington but the sight bridge is in a box where it can't get bent and there is a scope mounted on the gun.If I wanted I could take the scope off and use the Lyman sight. It's zeroed just push the button in and slide the sight bridge in and start shooting.Sure wish I could come across an old steel one.
