Lurker no more! Hello from N. Florida

I've had the Marlin itch for years, and I finally scratched it. I've been browsing post after post, reading up on different guns, reloading, etc. I have wanted a 336 since I was a kid. I used my grandfathers 30-30 to take my first deer as a teenager. He passed almost 20 years ago, and I have no idea what happened to the gun. After putting my hands on a 336BL, I had to have it. After shooting it, I had to scratch the itch a little more when I ran across a lightly used 1895G. Haven't shot it yet, but she's a looker! Can't wait to get to the range again.

Thanks for all the great info.

Andy in N. Florida.

I spent the night surfing through Marlin stuff. I'm officially addicted!
Hi Ange, I am from Middleburg FL in Clay County. What town in ST. John's County do you live in? The Florida Marlinowners are trying to set up a get together for next month. See about it in Meetings and get together site. Maybe I will see you there if it takes place. This forum is very informative and friendly. Welcome Aboard. Marla

Hi Marla. I'm in Fruit Cove. I'll definitely have to check out the get together. Nothing better than putting a name with a face. Thanks for the heads up.

Only problem with a get together of tool fanatics, is you may leave with tool envy, and thoughts of what your next new tool might be. :)

Hope to see ya soon.

Andy

Welcome from So Florida. Hope to see you at the upcoming May 21st Florida MO meeting in Orlando.
Hi all NE Florida Residents, I seem to be half way between you all. I am about 50-60 miles from Lake City and the Jacksonville Airport. Fruit Cove is on SR 13 and approximately 30-40 miles fom my house. Gee Wizz01 where in NE Florida do you live? We may be able to meet sometime at the Gateway Rifle and Pistol Range in Jacksonville. It is about halfway between the northern and southern members and not to far from I 10 and I 95/I 295. Marla

I am a member of Gateway, and I usually make it out there on Friday afternoons and sometimes on Mondays and Thursdays after work. I live on the north side of Jacksonville on the outskirts of Oceanway.

Sounds like a good plan. We'll have to coordinate.
