I was surprised to see this listed on a local classified site a couple of weeks ago and I have been wanting one for a few years. I managed to talk him down a little and he threw in a box of reloads. I believe the description of LNIB is accurate as I could not find a mark on it and the action was pretty stiff. He claimed he did not like the firesights and he has another Marlin .45-70 so he just did not shoot it.

Thanks, The info on this site is great, I have been a reader mostly. I was peeved a little when the lever-evolutions would not cycle correctly but I found the info for bending the extractor slightly and now they cycle fine.

I will probably need to scope it or put a peep on it as my eyes are getting a little old.
