I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to adjust the spring on the lever when you completely close or start to open the lever. The latch is really stiff and I would like to loosen it by a bit to make it easier to lever the gun. I know there is a pin you have to push out and I think there was someone about cutting the spring shorter but I don't know by how much or what. It is #36 in this photo

I did it little by little. It don't take very much to notice a difference.

If it is a new gun, don't do anything other than a thorough cleaning and lots and lots of cycling. If you still feel it needs work, then click the line in my signature and you'll discover all you need to know.

Awesome. Thanks alot. The gun is a 2004 model but it is in very good condition. I Wil try just cycling it a few hundred times first but if it's still stiff than surgery might be required. Either way I think it will be good

sometimes, poop will get in there and make stiff too..
