I just purchased a used 1895 G in almost new condition. I noticed it also had the Express Sight Systems Lever Scout Mount. At first I thought, "WOW, getting a scope on it will be easy". But, after looking where the scope mount is located, it made me think a bit... I plan on mounting an existing scope, Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40, that I already have and use this rifle for hog hunting (up to 100 yds).

The questions I have are:
With the Lever Scout Mount, will weaver style rings mount the scope to far forward?
If so, will I need to find a scope rings that will move the scope back?
Any recommendation?

or am I over thinking this, just the standard rings and call it good???

Thanks in advance...
