I know that some have made modifications to allow for the use of longer bullets and therefore a longer COAL. There was an article in the October 1998 Precision Shooter magazine on this in the 1895. I would appreciate any information ( articles, links,etc) on this or any experience any may who have done this.

Didn't RPP do something like that on a 336 back when they were in the gunsmithing business. I think I read about it on this forum.

Yes they did with their 30 and 35AAX.

I can get 2.580 with reliable feeding in my 336, but not in my Win 94.
I could get 2.600 but ejection - feeding is a problem with a loaded round, even with Speer hot-cor's with a more pointy tip. So would be a kind of an improved load LOL.
@ 2.580 I use a LFCD and I get more powder space besides closer to the lands. But I would still be interested on getting more length outta my remlin. The point catches when coming out the tube. Without a Dremel grind I don't think it's possible.
