Could someone explain what LOP "Length of Pull" is on a Rifle?

Is it the Same or Different on the Marlin 1894's vs the 336 XLR's?
Does anyone know the "Length of Lever Throw" (not sure this is the correct terminology) in regard's to the Marlin 1894 vs 336XLR Rifles?

On my Marlin 1894CS .357 Mag the Rifles Lever is 90 degree's (Perpendicular) to the Barrel when fully extended forward but on my 336A the Lever extend's forward an inch or two more which means I have to take the Gun off my Shoulder to Cycle the Lever.
