I got one box of CCI LR primers today, and I won't be putting them up for sale anywhere. But I'll leave the next shipment for all of you.

The problem with ordering these is they only allow one box, will not hold orders and haz mat charges knock it up much higher.
Which makes ya wonder, would outlawing powder and primers to be bought and sold online be a bad thing? If it's so dangerous, why do they allow it? How long do you think it would take for all our local shops to become well stocked? All the racketeers would be crying instead of us. Just a thought.

I got the notice from Midway on LPPs. 1 box limit at $9? with shipping and hazmet came to over $125. I am not a regular big spending customer but I do drop some money there. And I have been for several years. I called customer service and was told no way to order2 boxes. It just did not set good with me.
I blasted their policy of limiting regular customers to 1 box of primers when I got a rating form.

Hi Ladies and Gittelman. Yes, Hazmat plus shipment. Well, I don't think about that anymore because the nearest local gun store that would even sell primers and powder is about a half a gasoline tank away from my door and if they even have primers, it's $20. a pack. So, $95. a 1000 + Haz & ship to me is a win win. Besides I usually see if there is powder, I can use and a box of bullet to go on the same trip again, a win win.

From my perspective, the only problem is that I saw this too late. I haven‘t run out of LR primers yet but I haven’t seen any for at least 3 years either.
There are a lot online, just aren’t cheap. Several retailers have them starting at $130 a brick. Too much for my blood but I suppose if you need them, you may need to bite the proverbial bullet.

Oh, I'm not advocating for it. That's just wine sipping, old fart think at the moment. :ROFLMAO: o_O I don't have a problem keeping my hard earned money out of the governments hands in the form of taxes and nefarious charges though.

A couple months back, Cabela's listed Large Rifle Primers at their online site. They were CCI LR and CCI LR Match, $93 and $150 respectively. No HAZMAT fees if shipped to your local Cabela's or Bass Pro. I called as soon as I read about it here in our RELOADING thread, and they were in stock according to the young man on the phone. I think their central warehouse is still at Corporate headquarters in Sydney, Nebraska, but don't quote me on that. It took three weeks to get to the local store, and I picked up one brick at the Customer Service counter. It's not like it used to be in days gone by, we're not shooting 100 rounds in an afternoon a few days a week, but there's enough to last awhile. Keeping the old eye sharp for Deer Season.

I have for sure started shooting and reloading less due to the price and availability of components. I have a good stock now to keep me and my sons supplied with ammo if we need it {mostly hunting and informal plinking}. It was not cheap but I have it. I never used to keep large supplies on hand as I could just head to my LGS and get what I needed when I needed it. Those days are long gone. What seems like a lot to me may only be a small amount to someone else. Has anyone else cut back on reloading and shooting since this covid joke was thrown at us?

Well, given how long it's taken for primers and powder to start showing up again at retailers since the Obiden disaster of being installed into office, you can extrapolate, using a similar time frame into the future, and come up with at least 2 more years for prices to dwindle down to some sort of sanity off the $100 price point/brick that we're all seeing for primers these days.
