I just found one a a gunshop here in Brisbane. To purchase it I will have to get a "Permit to Aquire" and wait 10 days to put in on my licence.

Welcome to Aussie gun laws.

I have looked them up in my Brophy's,so I know they were made in 1983 etc.
OK so are these worth owning?Do they feed well?Any problems to look for?Any owners reports?

Gots to do the research first if I'm going to put it on my licence.

TIA

The 1894M in 22mag is somewhat scarce. I forget how many were made, but I think the Brophy book has production figures listed. Quite a few people on this board seem to be looking for one to add to their collection. I looked for several years here in the States before finding one and have only seen one other since.

They are handy guns for varmints and plinking. I find accuracy to be about 2" at 100 yards with good ammo and a scope. Mine has no problems feeding or functioning.

Thanks for the info.

The bad news is it got sold out from under me. :?

The good news is someone paid US$270 for it.

I will keep my eyes peeled for one of them in future.
