Welcome to the Marlin Owners Jim. I too have an 1894 25-20. Check out my post here... http://www.marlinowners.com/forum/1894/143932-119-year-old-classic-1894-a.html If you reload, and anyone with a 25-20 that has not hit the Lottery should, check out 35 Remington's post in reloading dedicated to the 25-20. Oh yeah pictures are a requirement:biggrin:
Oh damn, mine is not as old as yours. It is only 118 years old. Made in 1896. Bought it from a kid in 1967 for $20.00. It had and still does have a cracked stock. But it works. Also has two brass screws holding the forearm cap on. Outside of that it shoot good. (Put about 60 rounds through it on Sunday.) Been reloading for it since I got and casting my own bullets for the last three years.

P.S. haven't got the like button figured out yet, so if I didn't get a thanks on your post, that is why.
