Well after messing with Nosler partition, Barnes xpb and Hornady xtps I've finally got a hunting load that I think is going to do the job for the 444p. I originally had a good load with the Hornadyxtps but I didn't have much confidence in that bullet not overexpanding at the 444 velocities at close range. I managed to get the bullet up to the speed I wanted with accuracy to boot. Just this weekend I had 3 of six shots touching with 2 shot within a half inch of those three and the sixth about 3/4 in off . 100yards from the sandbags with the new scout scope. Now I can get back to saving some money and quit buying the factory Hornady 265s. I did some number crunching and figured I could reload the swifts for just a bit over half the cost of buying the Hornadys. I'll keep a couple boxes around just incase I need them, cause they do shoot very well in my gun also.
