Looks like the previous owner brushed on a coat of urethane or something, its a little shiny compared to my other marlins and sort of tacky to touch. Any suggestions to remove or refinish completely?

Check the reference forum about 2/3rds way down the index page, in there also you'll also find directions on how to take apart that boomer! Folks here use Citi-strip(?), me I just go with a wood stripper found at the local hardware store. Probably should wear gloves and eye shield.....just in case.
