Inherited a 375S (1984?)

I inherited this gun that has probably had a total of 50 rounds put through, and I would love to hunt with it, but there are a few challenges.

Ammo is ~$5 a round, if it can be found. I don't have the tools for reloading, but even if I did, reloading seems difficult as the 375 win. brass is also scarce. I'm not sure I would be comfortable using or modifying the brass from another caliber.

Welcome, from Mid-Maine. Nice 375. Have fun with it.
After mine found me, I made sure that I dug through the second hand ammo boxes at
every gun store I found myself in. Amazing that I found around 5 full boxes doing that.
Hope you have the same luck.

Welcome from northern NY! The 375W is a great cartridge. I hope you can get set up with enough ammunition to enjoy shooting it.

Welcome to the forum from Upper Michigan.
If you don't reload you may want to consider it, Starline makes new brass for the 375 Winchester and bullets can be found. I do not own or reload for this caliber yet but it is a fine deer rifle at typical hunting distances.

REK
The thing about reloading is the initial cost and after that it gets cheaper(basically free after the first shots)every time you reload that brass and if you buy components in bulk you can stretch that cost at least until you need more powder, bullets, and primers and once you have established a good load you are even loading less. Unless you love to go out shooting a lot. But I don't care what the naysayers say you will always save money by reloading over the long stretch.
