OK fellows....i'm from ol kentuck~ and i'm a 'ridge runner' still!........but no hill folk ever bought and marlin stuff and then passed it down...either that or they DID and everyone is sitting on it!.....because we went to every antique shop, swap shop, gun shop, pawn shop we came across in the middle Ky area and all i came up with was a tin full of old french 22 blanks. no marlin letter openers, blade, watch fobs..nuthin!
saw only ONE savage 99 rifle.and a couple of marlins.....nuthin special!
my 'magnet' don't work anymore, so i'm gonna chunk it!
went into that special gun shop in lexington......oh yeah! he had a few rifles.....slobbered on a COLT rifle or two......couple of original flinter longrifles......and few trapdoors.....all at $$$$$$$'s......IF i owned a railroad i MIGHT buy them~
nice visit with mom.....but no 'toys' were brought home!
well, at least i didn't have to ask 'permission' from my war dept to get back in the house!

Welcome back! Always good to get home, and even better to not make waves with the little lady!
