...in Roe's collection is the name of the game! Bragging rights only.

Here are the rules: you get to name a S&W revolver, Roe has to post a photo w/in 24 hours of HIS model...IF he has it!

I'll open...

I'll bet there is no 650.

Bragging Rights Only? Where's the fun in that?

I think if you guess wrong there should be a public flogging, or a week in the stocks, or something tangible. Maybe we should wait until mid-summer, when there's more rotten fruit available. 8)

No pain, no glory.

I see what you are doing and is a fun idea, but maybe Roe doesn't want to show all his guns on the net. Just a considerate thought.

Wow...didn't think about that.

You are absolutely right.

Anyone with a wrong guess gets to throw rotten fruit at PJ. ;D

Jon

Edit: Those who are right still get just bragging rights. And of course, Roe doesn't HAVE to play...if he doesn't want to. Or if he wants to save PJ.

Off with his head! ;D

Seriously, every S&W I have, has graced the pages of this Forum at one time or another, so it would be a poor competition for anyone who has been paying attention and taking notes...and I told you people at the very beginning to take notes. ::)

But, for those that have been keeping notes, you should remember, as I've said it numerous times before; All of my guns were lost in a tragic boating accident. The pixels are all that's left. ;)

As far as Smiths are concerned, I'm constantly amazed at how often I "discover" a new model. From what I see, other than 6 denoting stainless, 5 for blued (on some models), and 3 for the scandium/lightweight, there appears to be no rhyme or reason to how they number a gun.

Most of my recent "discoveries" have come from Roe posting pictures.

PJ one of your guns must have been the cause of the 16 foot section of garage roof that flew off two sundays ago. I think I need your insurance companies number please. It missed the little lake by 200 feet.

I think the better contest is "What is he going to get next?"

He's always looking. He usually has the $$$$. He frequents gun shows... It's only a matter of time.

So what's he gonna find next? That last model 34 was a sleeper- who could have seen that coming? Well, if he didn't buy it, I would have. But that's besides the point.

Which Smith will be next in the fold???

Trying to figure out what he'll get next is nothing but a crapshoot. You might as well do a quick-pick for the Powerball, the odds are about the same as picking any given model. 8)

I would've agreed with this statement in the past.

But Powerball odds are way, WAY better, since a thread titled...

"Roe Buys A...Ruger" appeared.

So that would be like having a "field" bet. You can either go with a well respected S&W product... or you could "bet the field" in the event he finds another bubba Ruger... or a Charter Bulldog (old style) in 44 Spl... or a Llama Super Comanche with a sawed off barrel...

I'm going with a S&W model 10 with a 2" barrel, half moon front sight....

I think that's known as "Betting on Chalk." What kind of odds do you expect to get? 8)

You were...but had there been an old 2" M&P there, it would have come home with me. I would have even given serious thought to an original Charter .44 Bulldog, if one would have been present. The Commanche is out of the question...even though it's the only one of the picks that we saw. ::) I guess it wasn't 'bubbafied" enough for my tastes. ;) The show was actually a bit of a disappointment for both vintage S&W's, 1911's, and Marlins.

What I did buy...that seems to come as quite a shock to some people...is a GSG 1911-.22. I've heard good things about these, was impressed when I handled one a few weeks ago, and with reports of many of the parts interchangable with 1911 parts, I though a test was in order. Pics and commentary will follow...when I'm able.

It was good to spend the weekend with you and your wife, my friend. Enjoyable as always.
