35 rem, bigger hole than 30-30 ,about the same recoil, great in brush, fun to shoot, can use 38 cal heads, etc

I've had a few leverguns through the years. Various brands, models, calibers, walnut, laminated, blued, stainless, irons, scoped, engraved, round, octagon, limited editions, etc. Got rid of 'em all. Later realized that I didn't like being without one, so knew that I had to fill that void. Without question or hesitation, I chose an 1895G in .45-70 (blued JM with walnut).

Right now I would probably say my 1895xlr 45-70, but I would cry to leave my 307 win or 356 win behind. All such versatile weapons.

I love my Marlin 375 and my 45-70 but if I had to pick just one lever gun and cartridge, sorry guys but my Savage 99-358 would be it.
