Picked up my first hmr today. Was able to pick it up used with a Konus scope on it for $300!! Please tell me I got a bargain?

I pulled the Konus scope off of it a put an old Tasco on top. This old Tasco has served me well, and I guess it will do until I get a Mueller.

Very nice! The 17's can be very finicky with certain types of ammo, so be sure to pick up several different brands to see just which she likes best! Be sure to give us a range report... and yeah, you done good!

Sighted it in this morning. Could not pattern any better than an inch at 100yds, although I was using a wobbly folding camp table for a rest. Can't wait to really check this gun out.
