Why, when I read this earlier today, did I think of Dr. A?

Makes me laugh. I think we know each other too well.

Didn't find a 30-30 CB . . .yet. Only problem is that the old 336A shoots so well with jacketed that I would be hard pressed to duplicate the performance with cast. Right now I'm looking for the CB, but not too hard.

As to the 38-55, here is an answer to a question I posed to Starline about their 38-55 brass coming soon and they replied today.

"I can appreciate your frustration. We are currently still trying to produce the longer length case which has proven so far to be a nightmare. I now see why Winchester opted for the shorter version. We are still working on it and hopefully will not have to settle for the shorter version."

No explanation as to exactly what the nightmare is but it's taking years to overcome whatever problem they have with it.

Steelbanger - Take a look at this if you want the correct length .38-55 cases.

I must say their prices have gone up. I bought a 100 of them and they were much cheaper than that. I hope Starline gets over their "nightmare" and manages to produce them properly.
