Well after having it for many months, I finally got to shoot this rifle. I expected to have my shoulder ripped out by the 196 gr bullet, but it was not bad at all. There is less snap to the shot than my 94 Winchester 30-30.

On the dimly lit indoor range, I had a miserable time lining up the sights on the silhouette target at 50 yards. I did not even try to get a good group or make sight adjustments. Fun gun to shoot though.

Ha! Got one too pal. Passed down from father who served in France and Belgium. It's a 1940 243 Mauser Borsigwalde rifle. Great keepsake as it is all matching. Just picked up some 185 grain ammo
