Anybody got a good suggestion for baiting ferrell hogs? My cousin uses corn but I wondered if anybody had a little known, sure-fire bait such as using marsh mellows to attract groundhogs. Right now they are scattered because of the big acorn crop this year, so patience is the key.

KyBlue51,

Surefire is corn mixed with diesel, corn with strawberry jello (powder)mixed in, piles of mixed produce, spoiled milk or most anything especially if you can get to smell a little.

Thanks, Dave...makes sense. My uncle has several acres in the mountains of Western N.C. and the hogs are really tearing it up. He has practiced game mangement most of his life and these critters are making it very difficult to accomplish. Corn and diesel sounds interesting, those things must eat anything!
